ABI FOOD BANK

Feeding Hope. Preserving Dignity. Continuing Purpose.

Our Mission & Vision

ABI FOOD BANK was established from a simple belief: No one should go to bed hungry.

Created from the historical residence of the late 42ND Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Lekan Balogun CFR, the location has been transformed from a private home into a place of public service and impact.

Today, it serves as a food bank and food distribution centre dedicated to supporting individuals and families who are unable to consistently provide meals for themselves.

But ABI FOOD BANK is more than a location.

"It is a continuation of a vision spoken. A vision that believes food is not charity—it is dignity."

The historical location serves as the first distribution centre and the foundation for future expansion across Ibadan, bringing support closer to communities and ensuring that distance does not become a barrier to access.

As the mission grows, additional locations will be developed to reach more people where they are.

The walls of the historical location will also become a living record of gratitude—honouring individuals, families, organisations, and partners whose support helps sustain the mission. Their contributions will remain visible—not as recognition of wealth—but as recognition of responsibility.

Every meal distributed tells a story:

Someone cared.

Someone acted.

Someone chose to help.
